Carlinn and I recently got invited to stay at the Double Tree by Hilton Cape Town in one of their loft apartment styled suites for a night and oh boy was it awesome!
A few years ago I worked in the Salt River and the offices were walking distance to the hotel, so I was in and out of the food court and Vida e Caffe almost daily, but little did I know that the Double Tree by Hilton Cape Town was such an awesome hotel!
Upon arriving, all guests are greeted not only by a friendly smile at the check-in desk, but one of their world famous chocolate chip cookies! They are warm, squishy and crispy all at the same time, jam packed with chocolate chips inside that melt in your mouth with every bite!
The suite we stayed in is called the King Deluxe Loft Suite with a kitchenette and it’s 108 square meters of luxury style!
There are two floors in the room with the room and bathroom at the top and living area, kitchenette, dining area and office at the bottom.
All rooms come standard with Free WiFi, making this the perfect home away from home if you’re a businessman on the go!
The Double Tree by Hilton Cape Town also offers a top class bar with a wide variety of beers, ciders and wines to treat your pallet. I’d recommend going to the Estreet Bar on Thursday nights for the amazing live music and why not eat dinner while you’re there too made by the world class Chef Simon Kemp at Liberty’s Restaurant.
Little did we know what a treat we were in for when we sat down because Chef Simon took our menus away from us and instead, offered us tastings from everything on the menu!
I now understand why I’ve only heard good things about his food because everything was amazing, especially the Pork Belly which I still find myself daydreaming about!
