Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been a fan of the annual release of the Guinness Book of World Records, so when I was asked to be part of the team documenting KIA’s Worlds Longest Test Drive, I won’t lie, I did a little happy dance in my living room.
This record attempt kicks off on the 14th of October in Durban, and will take us through 6 of the 9 Provinces of South Africa, ending next week Thursday in Cape Point.
What makes the Worlds Longest Test Drive attempt super awesome is that it will be done in the all new KIA Sportage, with stops every 10km – 50km to collect and drop-off 500 test-drivers along the way.
It’s going to be an epic few days, so be sure to follow our journey on Social Media with the Hashtag #WorldsLongestTestDrive and if we’re passing through your town or city, come out to see us as we attempt to break a World Record!
The World Record itself will be officiated by Record Setter, who have flown all the way from the states for this ground breaking record!
