If you’re in and around Jozi, but looking for an epic place to spoil bae, De Hoek Country Hotel in Magaliesburg will score you some major brownie points.
Carlinn and I recently spent a few days at De Hoek Country Hotel for a little R&R after our trip to Switzerland and it was the perfect place to unwind in probably the most peaceful place in Gauteng.
The hotel is super quiet and they have the most amazing pool, which I spent a few hours every day doing some writing while birds chirped above me.
De Hoek has actually got their Winter Indulge package on at the moment, for an absolute steal in my opinion, which is 3 days and 2 nights of pure pleasure so if you want to spoil your loved one, book this romantic package!
Dinner time at the De Hoek Country Hotel is a superb fine dining experience that’s included in the Winter Indulge package, and the breakfasts every morning are as much of a treat!
You’ve also got the romantic turndown service to look forward to every evening, for even more chill time with bae!
De Hoek Country Hotel offer a range of in-house and outsourced experiences for guest too from spa treatments to a Hot Air Balloon trip that takes off from the hotel grounds!
Sadly we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of this amazing experience as there was no space, so do book this in adwance because I’m sure that this is a bucket list item for not just us.
Let me add that if you’re looking for a place to eat lunch close to the hotel, try out the ribs at the Black Horse Restaurant & Brewery next door to the hotel. YUM is an understatement. Their beers are pretty good too!
