If you enjoy watching sunsets as much as I do, be excited because from the 1st of November until the 18th of December, locals and tourists will be able to take advantage of the annual Table Mountain Sunset Special.
There really isn’t anything quite like watching the sunset from the top of Table Mountain and since it will only cost you R120 for adults and R57.50 for children, it’s not going to break the bank to take the family up for a picnic at the top or better yet, if you’ve just spent a fortune on an engagement ring, you’ll have a big view to accompany that big question.
The Table Mountain Sunset Special starts from 6pm daily and you will be given a return ticket to the top that you can either buy at the ticket office itself, but I’d highly recommend that you buy your tickets online as this will allow you to skip the queue and head right to the top!
If you’re not going to be in Cape Town during the current sunset special dates of 1 November to 18 December, don’t worry because Table Mountain Cableway will be offering the same Sunset Special again from the 4th of January until the 29th of February.
This means that all you star crossed lovers out there can start planning a picnic at the top for Valentines Day, so GO BOOK NOW or you’ll be left twiddling your thumbs on Signal Hill on the day instead of watching it from the top of Table Mountain!
